I got acquainted with the car DVR Navitel R600 in July 2017. At that time the gadget produced an unforgettable impression on me. Later, the device became the best in the comparative test and distanced such serious rivals as Mio C325 and Sho-me NTK-50FHD. However, time moves on, everything changes, requirements to a technical stuffing increase. That’s why, the manufacturer decided to update the model, read in my review what it came to.
Visual appearance remains the same
Honestly, the compact design of the Navitel R600’s body had set my heart last time, it would be rather meaninglessly to change it. Classic, so to say, which will live forever. The only thing that has been changed in the design of the recorder — a ring around the lens, which has been recoloured in gold. The same 2-inch color display is used for information output, and the control buttons are set on the left side, which is very convenient for a driver, you can see where to press.
Package set is without changes
The delivery set of Navitel R600 has not been changed, everything is as before: the recorder, the bracket with an additional platform, the power adapter and a cloth for cleaning lens. Besides, a license for maps of Europe, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine is put in a box with a recorder. This is very convenient, you can use on the smartphone branded application “Navitel Navigator” for a year.
The interface is the same pleasant
Menu settings of Navitel R600 have a likeable design and is in Russian. An ordinary user’ll be able to understand the interface easily and set the necessary menu items. For example, before the first use it’s necessary to format the memory card and set the current date. The other parameters can be left unchanged, because the recorder is already supplied with optimal settings from the factory.
Even the problem with the bracket is remained
In the last review, I already wrote about a slight problem with the bracket, which is the recompense for the transit connection of the power cable. On the one hand it’s convenient when the power is supplied directly to the bracing, USB-interface wears out less. But the capacity to swing around the recorder lens to the cabin to record a conversation with the inspector of traffic police is lost. Briefly, I hope a new version of Navitel R600 will get out in a year and there will be no such problem.
What has changed?
The most important thing is changed, my friends — the operation of the device or its technical ‘filling’. Instead of the matrix Sony manufacturer now uses a more modern OmniVision chip, therefore the processor has been updated. As a result, the device is able to shoot videos with Quad HD resolution 1080×1440 at 30 fps and 1280×720 at 120 fps.
As you can see, the quality and details of the image are high. The traffic situation can be fully assessed in the video, even if it’s shot in low light conditions. Lookout angle deserves a special attention, which is equal to 170 degrees, which means what is happening on all driving lanes will be recorded.
After updating being good DVR Navitel R600 became even better. The manufacturer has updated the technical filling of the device and didn’t go wrong. The quality and details of the resulting videos are undoubtedly high. As they say, there is nothing more to add, if you want to buy a good device in this price range, it’s in front of you.
What I liked in the DVR Navitel R600 Quad HD:
– Video quality and viewing angle!
– Augmented package + license for the map purchasing;
– Understandable interface;
– Classic visual appearance.
What I didn’t like in the DVR Navitel R600 Quad HD:
– The bracket doesn’t allow you to swing around the DVR lens in the direction of the cabin.
